Katherine Muldoon, MPH, PhD, is a Senior Research Associate and social epidemiologist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI) and Obstetrics Maternal and Newborn Investigations (OMNI). Her research uses the traditional analytic methods of epidemiology to investigate the social aspects of sexual reproductive health, violence and injury. Her areas of expertise include, sexual and reproductive health, sexual and gender-based violence, injury epidemiology, global health and child protections. She has over a decade of experience working in sub-Saharan Africa, works as a consultant to UNICEF and UNHCR and is on the Editorial Board at the journal Conflict and Health.
She has a PhD in Epidemiology and a Masters in Public Health, and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Columbia University in the Mailman School of Public Health, Forced Migration Program.
