Erica Erwin, MSc
Erica Erwin is a Research Data Analyst who has recently joined the OMNI team. She joins OMNI as an BORN Ontario team member and maintains active involvement in the BORN organization. Erica has been with BORN Ontario since October 2018 where she previously focused on providing analysis to support the Provincial Council of Maternal and Child Health (PCMCH).
Prior to joining BORN, she managed a research program based in Tanzania with a focus of on non-communicable disease prevention and management in women in low-resource settings. Notably, one IDRC funded project in the program evaluated the effectiveness of equipping community health workers with mobile health technologies to facilitate the detection of pre-eclampsia in remote settings in Tanzania. She has also worked as an analyst in the Health Analytics Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Health. Erica obtained a Masters in Epidemiology with a Specialization in Cancer Research from Queen’s University and an Honours Bachelor of Social Science in International Development and Globalization from the University of Ottawa. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, yoga, consignment shopping, cooking and scuba diving.
