We offer summer student internships to individuals from various backgrounds in the health sciences. These 3-4 month positions provide students with the opportunity gain practical research experience and to work on small independent projects that contribute to the great OMNI research portfolio.
Individuals considering an undergraduate honours thesis project or a Master’s or PhD program through the University of Ottawa are encouraged to ask us about opportunities with our group. Our team members include Clinical Scientists and Methodologists with appointments to the University of Ottawa who can provide mentorship and training in maternal child health research.
Medical students, residents training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, fellows in maternal-fetal medicine, and nurses are provided with mentorship and opportunities to conduct research within the scope of the OMNI research portfolio. We encourage our mentees to embrace all aspects of research including ethical considerations for research, study design and implementation, participant recruitment strategies, data collection and analysis, and knowledge translation.
The OMNI research group is an internationally recognized maternal infant research group. Our national and international partnerships have fostered long-standing collaborations in academic institutes across the world.
